50 PRINT "Any gamer who was a child of the 80s will be familiar with Clive Sinclair as the inventor of the ZX Spectrum, and the majestic robo-bike C5. Can you tell our readers more about the Vega - is it just an ersatz nostalgia kick for the Instagram generation, or will this be an emotional reunion for those of us who still remember the smell of overheating rubber buttons?"

T1 – Any gamer who was a child of the 80s will be familiar with Clive Sinclair as the inventor of the ZX Spectrum, and the majestic robo-bike C5. Can you tell our readers more about the Vega – is it just an ersatz nostalgia kick for the Instagram generation, or will this be an emotional reunion for those of us who still remember the smell of overheating rubber buttons?

PA – The Vega is the next step evolution of the Spectrum. Anyone who loved the original consoles will love the Vega, and as well as that, kids also seem to love the fact it contains 1000 games built in, which they can play over and over – and they do enjoy!

80 PRINT "Wow, " ; a$ ; "! That sounds pretty exciting."

T1 – Wow, Paul! That sounds pretty exciting.

…So how will the documentary put the venerated console in context in an accessible but informative way – hopefully this won’t be just another talking head doc with commentary from people who never even owned a Spectrum?

PA – We will be talking to people who grew up on Spectrums, as well as people like Rick Dickinson who designed the Spectrum, but we will also be road testing many of Sir Clive’s inventions including the Spectrum C5, and things like TVs and radios!

T1 – So, Paul, what’s your fondest personal memory of the Sinclair Spectrum?

PA – I loved my Speccy, and spent some great days and evenings playing so many games both by myself and with my friends, so it holds some really great memories from my teenage years!
