The new Muppets movie came out on the 14th November 2011 and nobody knew how good it was going to be!
THE MUPPET SHOW has two number one fans, a muppet named Walter (performed by Peter Linz) and a man named Gary (Jason Segal). Gary and his girlfriend Mary (Amy Adams) plan to go on holiday to Los Angeles for their tenth anniversary. And when they reveal to Walter that he is coming with them, Walter is extremely happy! Los Angeles is the home of the muppet theatre and also Walter’s hero, Kermit the Frog! When they get there they discover that the theatre has closed because of an evil oil man named Tex Richman (Chris Cooper). Mary suggests they should go and find Kermit, and Gary and Walter agree! Will they find Kermit? Will Tex be stopped for good? And will the theatre be saved? Watch this fantastic movie to find out!
…at Dancing Penguins he shrieked – and I dare not say any more.
I would give the movie ten marks out of ten due to the good acting, funny stuff and so much more! I worked out that it is a good movie for two age groups: children now, and people who watched the muppets when they were little. I found this out because there were lots of children laughing, especially this 6-8 year old boy in the row behind me who was laughing his head off at everything! At funny songs he giggled gloriously, at crazy muppets he hackled hilariously and at Dancing Penguins he shrieked – and I dare not say any more. I found out it was good for middle-aged people because my mum laughed at things hardly anyone got! I find that my favourite character was Mary: she was good at singing, acting, and she also pulled the emotional strings.
“My favourite bit was when Miss Piggy joined them again,” said 5 year old Amelia, “Yes, I would suggest this movie to someone else”.
“I didn’t think they lived up to their standard,” said 10 year old Laura Brennan. “They could have done better than that. My rating is [out of 5] 0 stars, don’t go and see it, it’ll waste your money”.
“I did not think the story-line was that good, but I liked all of the songs,” commented Briana Brennan (13). “My favourite character was Miss Piggy, I thought she was very funny and I liked her dresses. I think this is probably aimed for young children and families, so I give this movie 2 and a half marks out of ten,” she finished.
Overall, this movie is one for kids and families, and if you have young children this would be the perfect day out for them. It has a good story-line and has nice, relaxing, funny and crazy songs. I would suggest you go and watch this brilliant movie and have some fun.
